Obituary for Clifford Joseph Paquette

Clifford Joseph Paquette, 86, a Dutchess County resident for over 60 years, died on April 29, 2021 at Sprain Brook Manor.

Born on September 27, 1934 in Yonkers, Cliff was the son of Raymond and Helga (Dahl) Paquette. Cliff was a graduate of Hasting High School, Class of 1952 and then worked as a carpenter in the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America of Westchester County. He loved playing his guitar and listening to classic country western music. His biggest wish would have been to visit The Grand Ole Opry. He was an avid Mets fan and enjoyed playing golf. He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He also enjoyed driving his tractor around his property to keep up with the maintenance and landscaping in the nice weather.

Cliff is survived by his niece, Nancy E. Paquette; his nephews, Bruce Paquette and his wife Marie, Raymond Paquette and his wife Jeanne, Robert Paquette and his wife Raphaela, Ronald Paquette and his wife Elizabeth; his sister-in-law, Eveleyn Paquette; his 9 great nieces and nephews; and his 9 great, great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Cliff was predeceased by his brothers, Ronald Paquette and Raymond Paquette.

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Beekman Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association.
