LAGRANGEVILLE – Raymond Vincent Paul, 87, a resident of LaGrangeville since 1969 and formerly of Stony Point, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.
Born in the Bronx on April 6, 1934, he was the son of Vincent James and Marguerite (Hushion) Paul. On June 3, 1963 at St. Ursula’s in Mount Vernon, he married Erma Eisler who predeceased him on December 20, 2011.
Raymond proudly served our country in United States Marine Corp. on the USS Bennington during the Korean War.
Raymond worked as a Parts Manager for Ford and Mercedes Benz in Poughkeepsie until the age of 75. He was a past member of LaGrange Company #1 and past member of 110 Rod and Gun Club in Verbank. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Raymond is survived by his children, Raymond A. Paul of LaGrangeville, Michael J. Paul and his wife Tracey of Hyde Park, Vincent J. Paul and his wife Christine of the Town of Poughkeepsie, Kathleen Caston and her husband Jeffrey of LaGrange, and Annemarie Pfitscher and her husband James of Hyde Park; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Danielle, Ryan, Deirdre, Gabrielle, and Jayara; his great grandson, Jack Vincent; and his sister, Mary Alice Haas of CA.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5 – 8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville. Entombment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, 147 Salt Point Road, Poughkeepsie.
