Memories of Aunt Clem yelling out the window for you to come to dinner, tickle fights that got you elbowed in the groin, making homemade M80s with Robert from Cali. We were always with the adults. You got stuck being with the little kids at my birthday parties. Lunches on TV trays watching Days of Our Lives when Uncle John got home. Uncle Artie, well, being Uncle Artie and blaming you for making dust while we were playing. Playing charades and pretending to be your Mom putting her mascara on while driving. Eileen and I spying on you when you brought a girl home. Our trip to DC to visit Uncle Sal. The cool way your Dad decorated for Christmas - foil mountains made from his fist somehow. As kids we were all thick as thieves.
We grew up and apart-new lives & distance were the excuses, always thinking there’s more time. I don't really remember the last time I saw you - probably a funeral. I didn't want this to be the next time I saw you again. May all the peace be yours now. Hope you're driving that Firebird all over Heaven!
Most of my childhood memories include you
+1

Robert Arthur Lucido

Julius was know to me as Junie. His Father, my Uncle Julius, is a relative of my father, Robert Lucido. I am his son, Robert. Junie and I had all sorts of fun when I came to Yonkers from California. On the way here, we went through some states that allowed firecrackers, skyrockets, and Roman Candles. Junie and I loved the Roman Candles. We'd get metal trashcan lids and battle by shooting fireballs from the Roman Candles at each other. I made homemade M-80's out of the firecrackers and blow them up in Saw Creek River. They were so big and loud that the newspapers reported them as mysterious explosions. Junie and I had great fun in that riverbed (creek). I am saddened to hear of his passing and pass my condolences to the family. May God Bless Junie.
