Obituary for Joanne M. Nicoletti
Fishkill - Joanne M. Nicoletti a longtime resident of Fishkill, NY passed away on May 4, 2021 at home. She was 68.
Joanne was born in the Bronx, NY on August 4, 1952 the daughter of Charles and Mary (Taskowitz) Maurer.
On March 20, 1983 she married the love of her life Rocco Nicoletti in Peekskill, NY.
Before retiring, Joanne worked for A & P in Hopewell Junction as a scanning coordinator.
She was an avid reader, the family photographer and enjoyed crafting, quilting, ceramics and making personalized gifts for family and friends. She had a strong love for Disney, but her passion was her dogs.
Joanne is survived by her husband Rocco, her stepson’s and their wives Joe and Stephanie Nicoletti and Rocco and Tara Nicoletti. She is also survived by her grandchildren Ava, Emma and Jack, her sisters Patricia Maurer, Mary Welch and brother Michael Maurer. Joanne was a very loving, caring and devoted Godmother and Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents and her brother William.
Calling hours will be Monday May 10th from 3pm-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, INC. 1089 Main St. Fishkill, NY. A service will take place at 6:30pm in the funeral home. PLEASE NOTE: In compliance with NYS guidelines, social distancing and face masks will be required. Since capacity may be limited, all attendees should be prepared for potential extended waiting periods.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Dutchess County SPCA.
