Obituary for Theresa Commisso
Theresa Commisso, 93, a resident of Wappingers Falls for over 20 years and previously of White Plains, Yonkers and the Bronx, died at her home on May 27, 2021.
Born on November 1, 1927 in New York City, Theresa was the daughter of Ascenzo and Bianca (Antonelli) Subrizi.
She loved spending time with her family and friends.
On May 19, 1978 in White Plains, Theresa married Vincent Commisso, who survives her. She is also survived by her daughter, Annette Sciacchitano and her husband John of Wappingers Falls; her grandchildren, Jerri-Lynn Galgano and her husband Daniel, Allison Robinson and her husband Steven, Michael Sciacchitano and his wife Kayla; her great-grandchildren, Daniel, Emma, Joseph, Olivia, Brooke, Riley and Rocco; her brother, Michael Subrizi and his wife Dolores; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Theresa is also survived by her stepdaughter, Barbara Beddia, and her husband Sonny, their children Andra Schwab (husband Steven) and John Beddia (wife Jennifer), and step-great-grandchildren Shane, Ethan, Jaxon and Zoey.
She was predeceased by her son, Patrick Capobianco in 2000; her brother, Ricardo Subrizi in 1998; and her first husband, Patrick Capobianco in 1974.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be held at 7:30 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held on Tuesday at 11:15 am at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
