FISHKILL – Elsa M. Mosher, a local area resident since 1968 and formerly of the Bronx, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. She was 92.
Daughter of the late Henry and Elsa (Potter) Wiebke, she was born in Astoria, Queens on October 31, 1928. In her younger years, Elsa worked as a secretary for Lord & Taylor in Manhattan. She later worked for many years at Mid-Hudson Savings Bank in Fishkill. She loved her family more than anything else and cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Robert H. Picciano & his partner Dee Wiley of Fishkill; her daughter, Janet E. Rose & her husband Jeff of Milton, DE; her son, Thomas A. Picciano & his partner Ed Boyd of Hampton, VA; her grandchildren, Nathan Rose & his wife Jenn and Frank Adams & his wife Jackie; her great-grandchildren, Ella, Ayden, and Madelyn Rose, Frank C. & Brittany Adams, and Samuel & Hannah Rubin; her great-great-grandson, Caleb Vanderlinde; and many other loving relatives & friends.
Elsa was preceded in death by her first husband, Anthony Picciano, in 1967, and her second husband, Dewitt Mosher, in 1997. She was also predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Henry Peter and Eileen Wiebke; her grandson, Jeffrey Adams; and her daughter-in-law, Carol Picciano.
Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2021 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A memorial service will begin at 2:30 p.m. immediately following the visitation. A private interment service will take place at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale, Long Island.
