Obituary for Jessica Matheson
Jessica Matheson, 50, a lifelong area resident died on May 31, 2021 at home.
Born on January 20, 1971 in Poughkeepsie, Jessie was the daughter of James (Jim) and Lee (Schmidt) Matheson.
Jessie is survived by her sister, Jade Craven of Germantown; her brother, Matthew Matheson of MA; her niece, Adele Craven and her fiancé Alexander Tibbetts; and her cat, Tanner.
In her younger years, Jessie was active in the 4H program for horses which lead to a career working in all around animal care. That blossomed into taking care of disadvantaged adults until a work injury permanently disabled her. She helped her friends when she could, and was a very important person to her niece Adele.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 2-5pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
