Obituary for Jeffrey Paul Sullivan

HOPEWELL JUNCTION - Jeffrey Paul Sullivan, 44, a lifelong area resident, passed away suddenly at home on Friday, April 29, 2022.

Jeff was born on October 5, 1977 in Poughkeepsie, NY and was raised in the Town of Poughkeepsie before moving to Hopewell Junction in 2013. He attended Holy Trinity School in Poughkeepsie and Canterbury School in New Milford, CT before earning both his Bachelor of Science degree and MBA from Marist College.

Jeff was employed as the Head of US Supply Chain for Unilever International in Englewood Cliffs, NJ where he was a dedicated employee for over 11 years and traveled for work to places such as Thailand, Brazil, Mexico, and Singapore.

Jeff was an avid fan of the NY Yankees and NY Jets, and NY Knicks. He liked playing golf and “putt putt” (mini golf) as well as poker and fantasy leagues. He was an active member of the Pirate Canoe Club and the Beekman Country Club. He enjoyed traveling, especially to his favorite spots- Long Beach Island, California, Florida, and Cape Cod.

Most of all, Jeff loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, and an amazing and devoted dad. His children meant the world to him. He spent countless hours taking them to basketball, soccer, baseball, karate, and dance.

On May 24, 2009 at St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction, Jeff married the love of his life, Melissa (Longo) Sullivan who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Alexander John, Olivia Rose, and Nicholas Paul; his father, Paul O. Sullivan; his mother, Arian (Andrews) Sullivan; his siblings and their spouses, Patrick and Trudi Sullivan and Kelly and Ryan Todd; his nieces and nephews, Melissa Grace, Sullivan, Connor, Andrew, and Ella; his aunts and uncles, Patricia Sullivan, Donna McElduff, Fletcher and Marsha Andrews, Elizabeth and Michael Reed, and Alison Andrews and John Morgan; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Alice Longo; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Erica and Harrison Lehmann; his 3 Godchildren, Karl Anthony Menuau, his niece Melissa Grace and his nephew Sullivan; many aunts, uncles, cousins and his friends who he considered family, and his best friend Karl Menuau.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery.
