Obituary for William H. Mosher

FISHKILL – William H. Mosher, a lifelong resident of Fishkill, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie. He was 80.

Son of the late Henry and Geraldine (Cargill) Mosher, he was born in Beacon on February 20, 1942. William was a self-employed photographer and talented artist. In addition to those skills, he was an avid outdoorsman whose hobbies included hiking, target shooting, and bicycling.

He is survived by his sister, Lorraine Clausen of Wappingers Falls; his nieces and nephews, Steven Clausen of Red Hook, Diane Smith of Murfreesboro, TN, Karen Babcock of Wappingers Falls, Peter Clausen of Wappingers Falls, Paul Clausen of Beacon, Jackie Plumer of Beacon, Gail Tassarotti of Albany, Daniel Matteo of Wappingers Falls, Michael Mosher of Ohio, and Elizabeth Mosher of Ohio; as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.

William was predeceased by his parents as well as his longtime life partner, Linda LaTorre; his sister, Janet Matteo; and his brother, Raymond Mosher.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 10 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY.
