Obituary for John Gargano
John Gargano, a resident of Stormville, passed away on May 21, 2022. He was 65.
John was born in the Bronx on December 8, 1956, the son of Alphonse and Jean (Guglielmo) Gargano. While living in the Bronx, he attended P.S. 16 and J.P. Sausa Junior High School.
John was a parishioner of St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction, NY.
He loved his Harley and went on many bike runs. He loved relaxing in his pool with his family, had a knack for making meatballs and cooking in general especially pasta, and chopping and storing wood for the winter. John was the All-American Dad and loved his family immensely. He was a lifelong mechanic and knew how to fix anything.
John had a heart of gold and loved being a Dad and Grandpa. John is survived by his daughter Amanda and her husband Nick Coris; his son John Gargano; grandchildren Jaxin and Olivia Coris; his brother Alphonse and his wife Rita Gargano; his nephews Alphonse and his wife Kelly Gargano, Gerard Gargano, Robert and his wife Kristin Gargano; and his companion Susan McGuire, her daughter Natalie Gromko and her granddaughter Angelina Stelljes. He was predeceased by his parents, and brother Gerard Gargano.
Calling hours for John will be Tuesday from 1-3 & 6-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction. Interment to follow in St. Denis Cemetery.
