Obituary for Cleopatra Chafouleas

WAPPINGERS FALLS – Cleopatra Chafouleas, 91, a resident of Wappingers Falls for over 32 years, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 17, 2022.

Born in Detroit, MI on March 22, 1931, Cleopatra was the daughter of the late Andrew and Vera (Vocos) Pappajohn.

Cleo was "Yaiya" to all of her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Lois Gaglione and her husband Kenny, Louie Chafouleas and his wife Jody, Vera Rico, Andrew Chafouleas, and Sandra Sagliano and her husband Mike; her grandchildren, Nicole and Michael McGrath, Anthony and Cait Gaglione, Nicholas Rico, Danny Gaglione, Dana and Ralph Marinaccio, Joseph and Cynthia Sagliano, Taylor Chafouleas, and Samantha Sagliano; her great-grandchildren, Cleo, Ben, Ralphie, Ryan, Cora, Mason, Joey, and Caleb; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Cleopatra was also predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Chafouleas; and her sister, Mary.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 4 – 8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10 am at the funeral home.

Donations may be made in Cleopatra’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
