Obituary for Dolores A. Weiner

WAPPINGERS FALLS – Dolores A. Weiner, 89, an area resident for the last 2 years, died peacefully at home on July 24, 2022. She previously lived in Manhattan and Queens.

Born in New York City on March 7, 1933, Dolores was the daughter of the late Michael J. and Olivia (Botto) Calamari. On April 21, 1956 in New York City, she married Thomas F. Weiner, Sr. who predeceased her in 1976.

Dolores is survived by her daughters, Dolores Weiner and her partner Lou Haufman, and Doreen Sbaschnik and her husband Frank; her daughter-in-law, Linda Weiner; her grandchildren, Jason Weiner and his wife Elaine, Thomas Weiner III and his wife Christina, Cheryl Russell and her husband Rob, Kurt Sbaschnik, Frank Sbaschnik Jr., and Paige Sbaschnik; her great-grandchildren, Valerie and Rachel Weiner, Declan, Lochlan, and Nolan Russell, and Victoria Weiner; her sister-in-law, Jean Weiner; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Dolores was also predeceased by her son, Thomas Weiner, Jr. in 2003 from a 9/11 related illness; and her siblings, Marilyn, Michael, Barbara, Richard, and Olivia.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Montgomery.
