Obituary for Eleanor DelGrande (Zuzolo)
EAST FISHKILL- Eleanor DelGrande, 90, a resident of Hopewell Junction for 26 years and previously of White Plains, died at Westchester Medical Center on July 29th, 2022.
Born on December 27th, 1931, in White Plains, Eleanor was the daughter of the Late Angelo Zuzolo and Elvira Zuzolo (Castaldo). In 1953 Eleanor married the love of her life, Thomas DelGrande, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in White Plains.
Eleanor worked as a Bookkeeper for Aero Tech in Westchester County. In her younger years, she loved going bowling and creating beautiful floral arrangements. She was an avid cook and baker.
Eleanor is survived by her children, Ann Tartaglione of Haverstraw, Joseph DelGrande of Wappingers Falls, and Angelo DelGrande of Hopewell Junction; her grandchildren, Joseph DelGrande and Jonathan DelGrande and his wife Nadia; her 2 great grandchildren, Olivia and Sophia; and her brothers Lou Zuzolo of Yonkers, NY and Pete Zuzolo (Edie) of West Islip, Long Island.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 10am-12pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 12:30pm at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment at St. Denis Cemetery.
