Obituary for Rebecca M. Milohnic

Rebecca M. Milohnic passed away at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on October 19, 1966 in Manhattan: in April of the same year she was adopted by William and Marlin Manders of Yorktown Heights, NY and would spend the better part of her childhood years in a small town called Shrub Oak. After graduating from Lakeland HS her educational pursuits would afford her a degree in accounting and a prestigious position with Union Carbide in Danbury Connecticut. In 1987 Rebecca married and relocated to Dutchess County with intentions of starting a family. By 1989 the couple would give birth to their eldest child Jacqueline; the 2nd edition to their family would arrive four years later in 1993 when Nicholas Jr. was born. Once the children were grown Rebecca decided to re-visit the workforce where she accepted a position with the Anderson Center for Autism in Hyde Park as an Administrative Assistance. On the weekends she volunteered in the food pantry at the St Christopher’s Church in Red Hook. Her most gratifying and cherished moments were spent with her two grandchildren Nicholas and Hayley Milohnic.
Rebecca is survived by her best friend and father-in-law Anton Milohnic; daughter, Jacqueline Milohnic; her son, Nicholas A. Milohnic, Jr. & his wife Elizabeth; her grandchildren, Nicholas Milohnic III and Hayley Milohnic; her siblings, Charlene Nuessle-Galati, Richard Manders, Thomas Manders, Wayne Nuessle, Mindy Nuessle-Capellin, and Suzanne Jenks-Muir her former husband Nicholas Milohnic, Sr. & his wife Jacqui; her stepfather, Carl Nuessle & his wife Karen; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives & friends.
