Obituary for Louis Romasco
Wappingers Falls- Louis Romasco, 84, passed away on September 30, 2022, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
A resident of the area for 47 years, he formally lived in the Bronx.
Born in the Bronx on February 10, 1938, he was the son of the late Louis and Marie (DiNapoli) Romasco. Louis was educated in the Bronx, NY and attended the University of Georgia obtaining his Bachelor’s degree. Louis worked for and retired from the City of NY Department of Social Services where he was Director.
Louis was married to the love of his life Dolores who passed away in August of 2020.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Deborah and Scott Finning of Claremore, OK, Louis A. and Sharon Romasco of Hopewell Junction, and Stephen and Vera Romasco of Poughkeepsie; his grandchildren Jessica Thrasher, Edley and Samantha Finning, David Finning, Corinna Romasco and Tom Mullane, Rachael and Ryan Driscoll, Amanda Romasco, Natalie Romasco and Alexa Romasco; his great-grandchildren Tabitha Thrasher, Dane Thrasher, Devin Thrasher, Ryder Driscoll, Reagan Driscoll and Carter Mullane; his siblings Tina, Rita and Paul and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Louis is predeceased by his parents and brother Rocky and sisters Julie and Angela.
Calling hours will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction on October 6, 2022 from 5pm-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10:30am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill, NY followed by entombment at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
