Fishkill- John Marion a resident of Fishkill, NY for the past 35 years, passed away January 15, 2023, the Sapphire Nursing Home. He was 78 years old.
John was born on July 5, 1944 in Altamont, NY the son ofJohn Doyle and Helen Shoro. He was adopted by his mother's second husband, Albert Marion.
John was the Director of Personnel and Labor Relations at Taconic DDSO in Wassaic, NY until his retirement in 1996. While working at Taconic DDSO, John met Gabrielle Canino who became his wife. She survives at home.
He was a great cook, had a brilliant mind and was avid New York Yankees fan. No matter the genre he loved all music as long as it was “good music”.
In addition to his wife Gabrielle, John is survived by his children Cain Scalzo and Abra Marion, 4 grandchildren, his sister Ruth Marion and brother Peter Marion and a host of other beloved family members.
John is pre-deceased by his parents and sister Lee Gilbertson.
