Obituary for Donna Marie Olwell
Woodbury, CT – Donna Marie Olwell, 77, formerly of Poughquag, Fishkill and Yonkers, died on March 3, 2023 at Motif by Monarch in Southbury, CT.
Born in Yonkers on June 10, 1945, she was the daughter of Kenneth Joseph and Rose (Arden) Arimento. Donna had been employed by the Town of Fishkill until her retirement in 1998.
Donna was a parishioner of St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction and was very dedicated to her faith. She enjoyed painting, crafts, bird watching and decorating, but more than anything, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
On June 8, 1968 at St. Joseph’s Church in Yonkers, Donna married the love of her life, Richard Thomas Olwell who survives at home. She is also survived by her son, Kevin Olwell; her daughters, Darcel Peters and her husband Paul, and Deborah Voelker and her husband Eric; her grandchildren, Isabella Olwell, Jonathon Peters, and Arden Peters; and her brother, Kenneth Arimento and his wife Christine. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Joseph Arimento.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 3-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 10am at St. Denis Church, 604 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
