WAPPINGERS FALLS – John Nunzio Migliore, 82, an area resident since 1970, passed away on March 8, 2023 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He previously lived in Dobbs Ferry. Born in Dobbs Ferry on May 24, 1940, John was the son of the late Joseph and Maria Luigia (Cacchiotti) Migliore. He proudly served in the US Navy. John retired from the United States Post Office after 32 years of service at their Dobbs Ferry and Beacon branches. He has also worked at Shop Rite in Wappingers Falls. During his retirement, John enjoyed working in the recreation departments for the Town of East Fishkill and the Town of Wappinger.

An avid fan of the New York Giants and NY Mets, John also had a great sense of humor. While his children were growing up, he enjoyed coaching them in Pop Warner, CYO Basketball, and Little League. More than anything, he will be remembered as a loving and kind man who never had a bad thing to say about anyone.

On June 10, 1961 at Sacred Heart Church in Dobbs Ferry, John married the love of his life, Kathleen (Sullivan) Migliore who survives at home after 62 years of marriage. He is also survived by his children, Theresa Manzo and her husband Salvatore of Wappingers Falls, James Migliore and his wife Carrie of Buchanan, Michele Sapia of McDonough, GA, and Danielle Migliore of Poughkeepsie, NY; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Oakes, Sara Manzo, Kelly (Robert) Ingram, Julie Migliore, Jamie Migliore, Pierre Sapia, Jr., Nicole Sapia (Nate Johnson), Justina Sapia, and Jonathan Sapia; his great-grandchildren, Tessa Oakes, Kira Oakes, Quinn Ingram, Dax Ingram, Christopher Santiago, Carly Gilleo, James Gilleo, Marcelo Sapia, Ace Mitchell, Rosalie Johnson, Jax Johnson, Aaliyah Hynson, and Brody Sapia; his siblings, Nunzio Migliore and his wife Ida, Joseph Migliore and his wife Eileen, Elizabeth Migliore, and Margaret Migliore Schneider; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, John was also predeceased by his siblings, Nancy Kisel, Emmanuel Migliore, Mary Migliore, Ellen Morse, Anna Bartell, and Gina Cunningham.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 3-7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. 895 Route 82 Hopewell Junction. DUE TO THE ANTICIPATED SNOWSTORM THE FAMILY OF JOHN MIGLIORE HAS RESCHEDULED THE FUNERAL MASS FOR WEDNESDAY MARCH 15 11:30 AM, St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by military honors. Private burial will take place at St. Denis Cemetery.
