Juanita May Nolting died May 21, 2023, in Rhinebeck New York. She was born March 20,1932 to Ed and Carrie Richter on their farm in Freelandville, Indiana.
She was one of six children and the last to pass. Juanita and her future husband, Jerry Nolting met in school and married soon after. She graduated from secretarial college and he graduated from Purdue University. They soon moved to Aberdeen, Maryland where he served in the Army. Their son, Fred was born there. A few years later they moved to Wappingers Falls, New York where he started a career with the Texaco Research Center. There they met life-long friends, Bill and Myra Cunningham and their family.
Their daughter, Susan was born there. They moved to nearby Fishkill a year later.
Juanita enjoyed playing the piano and was very accomplished. She instilled her love of music
into her children. In Fishkill, they joined the Dutch Reformed Church where Juanita started a life-long involvement with the church. She played piano for the Sunday School and participated in many of the functions of the church such as prayer chain and events. Juanita spent her time as a wife, mother, friend to her church friends and neighbors.
She enjoyed flowers and plants and kept busy with her yard.
Jaunita will be missed by Susan and Fred and his children, Louis, Anna and Kathrine, her great- grandchildren Laina, Whitney and Freya, her nieces and nephews and sister in law.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry, her parents and siblings.
No memorial service is planned.
