Obituary for Rosemary McConologue

WAPPINGERS FALLS – Rosemary McConologue, 82, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on May 24, 2023.

Born in White Plains on June 10, 1940, Rosemary was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Toman) Breslin. She retired from the Poughkeepsie Savings Bank where she was employed as an account representative. She was a parishioner at St. Mary, Mother of the Church where she was active with the Auxiliary Guild and volunteered at the holiday craft fair. Rosemary enjoyed cooking, and going on breakfast and lunch dates with friends. An avid card player, she especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

On September 29, 1962 in White Plains, she married Dennis McConologue who predeceased her in 2013 after 51 years of marriage. Rosemary is survived by her children, Kathy Anne Lupo and husband Dan, Dennis McConologue and partner Donna Grove, Kevin McConologue and partner Megan Kujath, John McConologue and wife Lori, and Brian McConologue; her grandchildren, Christopher, Daniel “D.J.” and wife Arianna, Jennifer, Kara, Kelly, Megan, Erin, Delaney, Addison, Chesney, and Connor; her great-grandchild, Vincent Patrick; her siblings, Jack Breslin and his wife Diane and Linda Margarone; her brother-in-law, Daniel Coldrick; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who she adored; and many friends, especially Lina, Sharon, and Lee. In addition to her husband and parents, Rosemary was also predeceased by her siblings, James Breslin and Nancy Coldrick.

Rosemary’s family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the staff at Hudson Valley Hospice, especially nurse Julie Eads for her compassion and care.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 26th from 4 – 8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, May 27th at 10 am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill.
