Obituary for William Francis "Billy" Ruddy
FISHKILL - It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of William F. Ruddy on May 31, 2023 at home. He was 61 years old.
Son of the late William and Madeline (Buddenklepper) Ruddy, he was born on June 8, 1961 in the Bronx, NY.
Billy attended St. Nicholas of Tolentine grammar school and Christopher Columbus High School in the Bronx, NY. He worked for M and R Windows for many years. Billy had a big personality. He was charming and friendly with anyone he met, even strangers. Billy was a comedian, always joking around even in his last few days. He was loved by his entire family as well as many friends for the wonderful, crazy person he was. He will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carmela “Millie” Ruddy; daughters, Tiffany Ruddy at home and Christine Ruddy and grandson Reggie Ruddy of Lubbock, TX; sisters, Denise (Roger) McBride of Roscoe, NY, Donna (Joe) Nemeth of Highland Mills, NY, and Doreen (Bobby) Stack of Broad Channel, NY; nephews, Bojo (Natalie) McBride and their children Aubree and Brody, Mikey McBride, Nicholas Stack, Billy Nemeth and Thomas Ruddy; and niece, Brittany Mantz. In addition to his parents, William was also predeceased by his brother, Thomas Ruddy and nephew, Stephen Nemeth.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 2nd from 3-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 3rd at 10 am at the funeral home followed by burial at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley.
