Agnes C. Digit, a resident of Fishkill, died at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie on Monday, May 28, 2012. She was 88.
Born in the Bronx on February 27, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Agnes Maloney McEvoy. In 1949, she married Frank J. Digit at St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church in the Bronx. She was predeceased in death by her husband in 1998.
Agnes was a homemaker and parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill. She was an active member of the
Columbiettes, a women's auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Digit (Alison) of North Carolina; her daughter, Diane Cornes (Timothy) of England; her granddaughters, Dana Barber (Austin) and Melanie Boullion (Brandon); and her great-grandson, Chase Boullion. She is also survived by her loving sister Helen Madden (Thomas); sister-in-law Joan McEvoy Wehrell and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her dear brother Joseph McEvoy.
Calling hours are from 4 to 8 on Wednesday at McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson St., Fishkill.
