Alan C. Davis

LAGRANGE - Alan C. Davis, 73, died peacefully at home on September 21, 2026 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Born on May 28, 1953 in Brooklyn, Al was the son of the late Harvey and Marcella (Hyet) Davis. He retired from the life insurance industry after dedicating many years of service to his profession.

During his retirement, Al found great joy in buying and selling classic cars, a passion that brought him endless enjoyment. A former powerlifter, he was also a devoted animal lover who took great pride in caring for his many fish tanks and had a special affection for his beloved dogs. A true audiophile, Al treasured his music and especially enjoyed listening in the comfort of his home studio, where he could fully immerse himself in the experience.

On February 16, 1986 in Hicksville, Long Island, Al married Margaret "Peggy" (DiGiacomo) Davis who survives at home after 40 years of marriage. He is also survived by his sister, Wendi Gelchinsky and her husband Harold; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kevin and Susan Prevost; his nephews, Jonathan, Richard, Jesse, and Michael; his great-nephew, Benjamin; his great-niece, Eleanor; and the extended DiGiacomo family.

Visitation will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction on Friday, September 25th from 11 am - 1 pm with a funeral service at 1pm. Burial will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
