Wappingers Falls-Alan L. Stein, a resident since 1980 and previously from the Bronx, New York, passed away on October 11, 2024 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, New York. He was 73 years old.

In addition to his wife Marcia, Alan is survived by his beloved son Richard Stein; and the real love of his life and person he lived for, his grandson, Max. Max was his pride and joy. Alan is also survived by his best buddy, his dog Douglas.

Alan retired from Pepperidge Farms as their regional sales manager to spend time with his grandson. He couldn't wait to take him fishing. Richard, Max, and Al would love to fish together. Alan will be missed by many people. Al was a great friend. He was a kind, honest, and fun-loving guy who put his family before himself. Al was an Army Veteran who proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.
