Obituary

Albert A. Lennon, 81, a resident of Poughquag since 1955 and formerly of Yonkers, died suddenly on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Yonkers on July 16, 1930, he was the son of Albert A. Lennon, Sr. and Doris Horne. Albert proudly served our country in the US Air Force during the Korean War as a Radar Instructor with the 83rd Fighter Interceptor Squadron. He was employed as an engineer for IBM until his retirement. He was interested in astronomy, the Appalachian Trail, and reading. He was an avid fan of the Rangers, the Yankees, the Giants, and enjoyed raising chickens.

On May 1, 1954 in Yonkers, Albert married his soul mate, Dorothy "Dottie" Blair who predeceased him on June 5, 2011. He is survived by his children who cherished him, Craig Lennon and Melissa Lane-Lennon, Gail Bauer and Jim Conlee, Michael and Julie Lennon, and Lois Miccio; his loving grandchildren, Caitlin and Ian Lennon, Nicole and Mike Tucker, Shaun and AnneMarie Bauer, Tara and Tony Thomas, Ryan, Kathryn and Connor Lennon, Christina and Amy Miccio; his great-grandchildren whom he adored, Tyler, Kayla, Trevor, Rylee, Ashlyn, Bria, Lily and Jordan; his brothers, Thomas, Dennis and Ronald Lennon; and many special nieces and nephews, and other loving family members and friends including the Mulford Garden Gang. In addition to his loving wife Dottie and his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Mary Lou Gotsch.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 12 – 2:30pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will follow at 2:30pm with Rev. Retta Lykens officiating.
