Albert P. Ratschki, 94, long time resident of LaGrangeville, passed away on 27 August 2022, at his residence at The Fountains in Millbrook, NY.

He was born in Brooklyn, NY, the youngest son of the late Paul and Marie (Arch) Ratschki. After his graduation from Richmond Hill High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Later he would work as a Signal Maintainer and Foreman for the NYC Transit Authority, retiring after 35 years of service. Albert moved his family from NYC to LaGrangeville in1972, where they resided until 2019. He was a volunteer at the LaGrange Fire Department Station #1 (Billings), for a number of years.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Marion (Hofmann), his three sons William, Robert and Edward and his four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on 14 September, 2022.

Service will be at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 55 Wilbur Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Interment will follow, at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
