Alberto Delgado-Garcia, an Orange County resident since 2000 and formerly of St. Croix, VI, passed away at home in Newburgh on Sunday, April 26, 2020. He was 81.

Son of the late Prudencio Delgado and Eladia Garcia, he was born in Vieques, Puerto Rico on August 7, 1938. In 1957, he was inducted into the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged from service in 1958.

Alberto served in the U.S. Virgin Islands Police Department from 1976 to 1984, and later went on to work for as a Court Marshall of the USVI Courts System until his retirement in 2000.

On April 22, 1961, he married Josephine SanKitts in the Bronx. He was predeceased by his wife on December 6, 2010.

Survivors include his daughter, Peggy Delgado Levinson & her husband Charles of Saratoga Springs; his son, David Delgado of New Windsor; his grandchildren, Allan P. Thompson, Jr. of Coxsackie and Sarah Joy Thompson of Saratoga Springs; his sisters, Leticia Delgado and Lila Delgado, both of Vieques, PR; and many other loving relatives & friends.

Interment will be at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
