Albina Gaster, 76, a resident of Wappingers Falls for 2 years and formerly of Spring Hill, FL, died on Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Wingate at Dutchess.

Born in Yugoslavia on March 14, 1936, she was the daughter of Josef and Veronica Schmuck Widmer. Albina was employed by Caldor's in Peekskill for many years and was a parishioner of St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction.

Albina is survived by her husband, Otto A. Gaster; her children and their spouses, Alice and Tom Fleming of Stormville and Robert and Laura Gaster of Beacon; her brother, Edwin Widmer; her grandchildren, Ryan and Kristin Fleming, Josef, Erik and Kendyll Gaster; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
