Obituary

FISHKILL – Alfred A. Carinci, 69, an area resident since 2000, died on January 27, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He previously lived in the Bronx.

Born in Mount Vernon on October 12, 1951, he was the son of the late Alfred and Gilda (D'Lando) Carinci. When he and his sister were young, he would take her by her hand to the candy store where they would buy 25 pieces of candy for 25 cents! He loved going into New York City at Christmas with his wife and daughter where they went ice skating and visited the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center, visited the Santa Claus Workshop at Macy's, went to St. Patrick's Cathedral, and saw the Rockette's at Radio City Music Hall. He enjoyed spending special time with his son-in-law, Vinny, by going out to dinner and watching movies with him. He also loved to watch wrestling!

On June 3, 1973 in the Bronx, Alfred married Rosemarie (Mollino) Carinci who he met when they were 3 years old. In addition to his wife of 47 years, he is also survived by his daughter, Janine Salvatore and her husband Vinny, who become a son to him, of the town of Poughkeepsie; his sister, Judy Gentile and her husband Charlie; his niece, Nicole; his nephew, Charlie; and his great-niece, Gianna.
