Obituary

FISHKILL - Alfred D. "Big Al" Pazereckis, 79, an area resident since 1974 and formerly of Putnam Valley, died on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Brooklyn on May 24, 1935, he was the son of Alvin and Anna Zubada Pazereckis. Big Al proudly served our country in the US Navy and was employed as a driver with Mobil Oil Company for 20 years until his retirement in 1989. He was a former member of the VFW in Montrose. He loved fishing and watching his sons when they were drag racing.
On September 7, 1957 at St. Raymond's Church in the Bronx, Big Al married Margaret Ill who survives at home. He is also survived by his sons and their wives, Alfred and Rita Pazereckis of Hopewell Junction, Gary and Jennifer Pazereckis of Hopewell Junction. He was the beloved Pop Pop of Kaitlyn, Amber, Rory, Tina, Kathy and Justin. In addition, he has several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
