Allen Ernst's Obituary
Allen D. Ernst, 65, a resident of Poughquag and formerly of Cheyenne, Wyoming, died on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Danbury Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Cheyenne on February 4, 1946, he was the son of Rudolph and Victoria Olson Ernst. He served our country in the US Navy and worked as a Banker for several area banks, most recently Key Bank in LaGrange. Allen was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Fishkill and he enjoyed fishing.
On August 28, 2009 at Trinity United Methodist Church in LaGrangeville, Allen married Theresa Turek who survives at home. He is also survived by his daughter, Jennifer Ernst of Fishkill; his sisters, Trudy Bean of Cheyenne, WY and Sally Miller of TN; his brothers, Edward Ernst of Cheyenne, WY and Theodore Ernst of Billings, MT; and many nieces and nephews.
The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 1:30pm at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1200 Main Street, Fishkill. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Trinity Episcopal Church, PO Box 484, Fishkill, NY 12524 or the American Cancer Society, 2678 South Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
