Althea Corey, 93, of Hopewell Junction and formerly of the Bronx, died on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at her home.

Althea was born on May 8, 1918 in the Bronx to Elmer Lenox Rudd and Marguerite Wall Rudd. Althea married George Delmar on September 4, 1939 in New Jersey. George predeceased Althea on February 10, 1968.

Althea is survived by her two daughters, Althea Richards and her husband Vincent of Hopewell Junction and Marguerite Sullivan and her husband Patrick of Glendale, CA; her grandson, Michael Bryan Richards and his wife Jill Ann of Southbury, CT; her great-grandson, Jason Vincent Richards of Southbury, CT; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Althea was a member of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill. She was also very active in Boy Scouts of America and the Girl Scouts for 25 years. Althea was active with the East Fishkill Seniors, where she taught ceramics and helped with senior trips.

Calling hours will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction on Monday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Followed by interment at St. Denis Cemetery.
