Amy Nicole Evans, 43, a lifelong area resident, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at her home following a long illness.

Born in Carmel on April 12, 1971, she was the daughter of Thomas Evans of Stormville and the late Victoria Netrosio Evans. Amy was a 1989 graduate of John Jay High School. In 1993, she received her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Stony Brook University and she received her Master's Degree in Social Work from Adelphi University in 1995. Amy was a self-employed Clinical Social Worker. Amy was a spiritist who enjoyed writing.

In addition to her father, Amy is survived by her brothers, Thomas Evans of LaGrange and Ryan Evans of Stormville; and well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a funeral service at 3pm and a celebration of Amy's life at 8pm.
