LAGRANGEVILLE - Andrea J. Ruf, 65, an area resident since 1999, died on March 26, 2020 at the Lutheran Care Center. She previously lived in Fairview, NJ.

Born in Hudson on June 20, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Margaretha (Ritter) Moran. Andrea was a well-liked teacher for the Rutherford School District in New Jersey until her retirement. An avid reader, Andrea also liked cooking and sewing.

On May 7, 1982 at Hudson, NY, she married Arnold Ruf who survives at home. She is also survived by her stepdaughter, Margot Pedoto and her husband Thomas of Fairview, NJ; her step grandchildren, Danielle Fagnan and her husband Matthew, and Christina Pedoto of Fairview, NJ, and Andrew and Alyssa Ruf; her sisters, Susan Fredericks and her husband Michael and Judy Ritter; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rudy and Elfriede Ruf; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her stepson, Arnold Ruf, Jr. in 2018.
