FISHKILL - Andrew Glen Boettcher, a Fishkill resident since 1964, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, following a long illness surrounded by his family. He was 62.

Son of the late Benedict A. and Joan (Hopf) Boettcher, he was born in Orange, NJ on February 8, 1963. In 1982, Andrew graduated from John Jay Senior High School, where he was an active member of the school's basketball and baseball teams. He later received a bachelor's degree from Pace University in accounting.

Prior to his retirement, Andrew worked as a senior financial analyst at Verizon Communications in Westchester County. He previously worked for Texaco Research company in Beacon, and Snapple Company.

An avid sports fan, he played in adult basketball and softball leagues. Drew was also an excellent sports photographer who took joy in photographing the New York Yankees and his siblings, nieces and nephews sporting events. Andrew actively participated in Fantasy Sports Leagues. He was an uncanny statistician who used his sports data expertise to design custom formulas and predict outcomes of various sporting competitions.

In addition to his passion for sports, Andrew also took great pride in his landscaping and gardening skills, having the nicest yard on the block.

Survivors include four siblings: Steve Boettcher & his wife Bonnie of Fishkill, Gregory Boettcher of Hopewell Junction, Pam Allgauer of Poughkeepsie, and Laura Boettcher of Beacon; his nieces and nephews: Erika Allgauer, Evan Allgauer, Shelby Boettcher, and Tyler Boettcher; in addition to countless other loving family members.

He was predeceased by his father, Benedict, on January 24, 2019; and most recently, his mother Joan, who passed away on October 30, 2025.

Calling hours will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Saturday, December 6 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A memorial service will begin at 3:30pm.
