Andrew (Andy) David Johnson of Wappingers Falls, passed away on Tuesday Aug. 22, 2023 peacefully in his sleep. Andy was a lifelong resident of the Wappingers Falls area where he and his wife Lynn (who moved on before him) raised their beloved son, Sean (wife Celine).

Andy was a tremendous source of support for all he shared his life with. He was built out of pure fortitude and embodied a special kind of compassion and love for his family and community of peers. Andy always carried a larger than life laugh and can-do attitude through all the challenges life put before him.

Andy knew how to speak up at the right time, and sometimes when to listen. He enjoyed spending time golfing with his son, Sean, and dear friends of Baird Golf Course. He was an amazing Pop Pop to his grandchildren Kaiya (6) and Quinn (2 ½). Andy was a loyal employee who worked for over 40 years to the growth and success of the organization.

In addition to his immediate family, Andy is survived by his siblings Karen Johnson, Eric Johnson, Norman Johnson (wife Bonnie), all of whom reside in the Wappingers Falls area and Gail Walter (husband John), of Cocoa Beach, Florida. He will be remembered dearly by countless others who knew the great man he was in their hearts forever.

A memorial service will be held at McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction on Sunday, August 27 between 2 PM to 5 PM.
