FISHKILL – Angelica Chappas, 94, a resident of Wappingers Falls for 25 years and formerly of Riverdale, died on Monday, January 16, 2012 at Wingate at Fishkill.
Born in Milwaukee, WI on December 15, 1917 and raised in Greece, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Anastasia Boskinis. On January 24, 1950, she married Constantine "Gus" Chappas who predeceased her on April 5, 1969.
She was a member of Kimisis Greek Orthodox Church in Poughkeepsie.
Angelica's life revolved around her family. She is survived by her son, James Chappas and his wife Patricia of Wappingers Falls; four grandchildren, Katherine, James, Michael and Nicole; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Demetra and her grandson, Jonathan.
Calling Hours will be held on THURSDAY from 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY. The Funeral Service will be officiated by Rev. Gregory Patsis on FRIDAY at 10:00 am at the Kimisis Greek Orthodox Church, 140 South Grand Avenue, Poughkeepsie followed by interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Maspeth, Queens.
