Angelina "Gladys" Boneri, 83, a former resident of Wappingers Falls, died on Friday, July 2, 2010 at Palm Bay Community Hospital.
Born on October 24, 1926 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late John and Magdalena Javacino Cody. A resident of Florida for the last several years, she had previously resided in Brooklyn, the Bronx and New Jersey. She was a former member of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls and the Village of Wappingers Falls Ladies Auxiliary. Gladys was a crafter who enjoyed working with stained glass, knitting and crocheting.
Gladys is survived by her children, Theresa Garcia and husband Robert of Lakeland, FL, Margaret Glickman and husband Max of Hopewell Junction, Edward DeFelice of Carteret, NJ, Diane DeFelice of Wayne, NJ and Joseph Boneri and wife Lisa of Palm Bay, FL; her grandchildren, Andrea Perry, Christine Cohen, Barbara Borbash, Jonathan DeFelice, Lisa Ciezza and Brandon Boneri; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Boneri; her son, Robert DeFelice; and her granddaughter, Karen Glickman.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by the funeral service at 5 p.m. Interment will be in the family plot in Hopewell Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
