GRANVILLE- Angelina Carnathan, 101, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones on December 9, 2021 at the Holbrook Adult Home. A resident of Granville since 2019, she previously lived in Beacon and Glenham. Born on February 20, 1920, Angelina was the daughter of the late Agostino and Josephine Lemmo. She had been employed as a seamstress at Crescent Lingerie in Peekskill until her retirement. Angelina was a parishioner at St. John the Evangelist Church in Beacon and a member of the Fishkill Senior Citizens. Angelina is survived by her nephew, Mark Murphy, Sr. and his wife Karen of Whitehall; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Heather Murphy of Pleasant Valley, Mark Murphy, Jr. of Fishkill, John Jawback of Savannah, GA, and Joseph Jawback of Savannah, GA. In addition to her parents, Angelina was also predeceased by her beloved husband, David Carnathan; and her siblings, Frank Lemmo, James Lemmo, Agustus Lemmo, Mary Marinaccio, Millie Scalpi, Jean Dizillo, and Louise Holland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 10am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 31 Willow Street, Beacon followed by burial at Cold Spring Cemetery.
