FISHKILL - Angelina Veronica Rippey, 78, an area resident since 1977 and formerly of the Bronx, died on September 18, 2021 at White Plains Hospital.
Born in the Bronx on November 19, 1942, she was the daughter of Philip and Caroline (Santucci) Farruggio. Angie had been employed as a cafeteria worker for the Wappingers Central School District. She was a parishioner of St. Columba Church. She was also a member of the Hopewell Hose Ladies Auxiliary, and a volunteer at the East Fishkill Senior Center. She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo.
On September 8, 1962 in the Bronx, Angie married James "Pete" Rippey who predeceased her on June 24, 2019. She is survived by her children and their spouses, James and Abbie Rippey, and Donna and Rick Ruffo; her grandchildren, Ashley Rippey and Sabrina-Marie Ruffo; her great-grandchildren, Giovanni, Derek and Ashland; her twin sister, Theresa Ciocci; her brothers, Nicholas, Philip and John Faruggio; her special niece, Lisa Egan; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
