LAGRANGEVILLE – Angelo Curro, a resident of LaGrangeville since 2002 and formerly of Valhalla, died on Father's Day, Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Vassar Brothers Hospital. He was 84.
Born in Messina, Sicily on June 9, 1928, he was the son of the late Felice and Carmela (Terranova) Curro. On October 24, 1954 in the Bronx, he married Giovanna Grizzaffi. His wife of 58 years survives at home.
Angelo proudly served our country in the US Army. He was employed as an Electronics Engineer for Loews Theatres in New York City for 30 years until his retirement in 1990. Angelo was a parishioner at Blessed Kateri Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children and their spouses, Carmela and Frank Marino of Merrick, Long Island, Mattea and Dan Battista of Yorktown, Felix and Sheri Curro of LaGrangeville, Lea and John Delemarre of Patterson, and Joseph and Angela Curro of Hopewell Junction; and his 11 grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 am at Blessed Kateri Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville. Entombment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery with military honors.
