Obituary

Ann McGaghran, 79, a resident of Fishkill for the past 9 years and formerly of College Point, Queens died on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Kilgarvan, County Kerry, Ireland on September 23, 1935, she was the daughter of Patrick and Elizabeth Duggan. For over 25 years, Ann had been employed as a nurse’s aide for the Woodcrest Nursing Home in College Point. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill, and enjoyed spending time with her family, playing Phase 10 and drinking tea. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
On February 1, 1964 in the Bronx, Ann married James McGaghran who predeceased her on February 25, 2000. She is survived by her son Sean McGaghran of Scantron, PA; and her daughters and their husbands: Siobhan and Ed Bogucki of Fishkill, Eileen and Vincent Candela of Brookfield, CT, Maureen and Michael Roseforte of Patterson; her grandsons, Eddie, Danny, Liam, Michael, Nicholas, James (Jazz) and granddaughter, Skyler. Ann was also the beloved sister of Kay Shea (deceased), Mary Tureski, Elizabeth Byrne (deceased), John Duggan (deceased), Bridget Newman (deceased), Ellen Neilson, Nora Mahon, Johanna Cremin and Peggy Healy.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Interment will be in Calverton National Cemetery.
