Anna L. DelVentura, 66, an area resident for 30 years, died on March 22, 2016 at Calvary Hospital.
Born in Brooklyn on October 1, 1949, she was the daughter of William and Catherine Edwardsen. Anna worked at the Depot Emporium in Poughkeepsie. She was a true Brooklynite – everyone who met her, loved her. She was a tough lady but she had a heart of gold. She led an amazing life, and could make you laugh and cry with the many stories she told, and she truly believed that everyone deserved to be respected and treated with dignity. She enjoyed cooking, but more than anything, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Faith DelVentura, Monica DelVentura-Bookman and her husband Robert and Chris DelVentura and his wife Barbara, John Sicurella and his wife Debbie, Thomas Campbell and Terry Johnson; and her grandchildren, Jordan Fein, Wayne Morgan, Davine and Justis Bookman, Jada Parks, Zachary and Dylan DelVentura, and John Sicurella. She was predeceased by her siblings, Alfred and Elma Edwardsen.
