Obituary

Anna M. Hollis, 76, a resident of Wappingers Falls, NY since 1962 and formerly of Gibbstown, NJ, died on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Woodbury, NJ on January 11, 1935, she was the daughter of Marcella Pitman DiFeterici of Paulsboro, NJ and the late Vincent DiFeterici. She was a certified nurse's aide. Anna was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church, Our Lady of the Falls, Wappingers Falls and a member of the Legion of Mary. She was very interested in spiritual and holistic approaches, and loved angels.

In addition to her mother, Anna is survived by her sons, Joseph Hollis Jr. and his wife Maria of Saugerties, NY, Michael Hollis and his fiance Patte Coyne of New Windsor, NY, and John Hollis and his wife Lori of Pompano Beach, FL; her sister, Margaret Velahos of Gibbstown, NJ; her sister-in-law, Marilyn DiFeterici of Paulsboro, NJ; her grandchildren, Joseph Hollis III and his son Austin Carter, Kristine Hollis-Gocmen, her husband Steve and their soon to be born daughter Leyla, Julia, Michael Hollis Jr., William Seamus Hollis, Gwen and John Hollis, and Christopher Hollis; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Vincent DiFeterici, Sr. in 2011.

Calling hours will be on Monday from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 1 pm at St. Mary's Church, 11 Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls. Additional calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 11 am to 1 pm at St. Clare of Assisi Parish, 313 Memorial Avenue, Gibbstown, NJ followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 pm. Interment will follow in Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ.
