Anna Sorrenti, 93, a resident of Hopewell Junction since 1995 and formerly of Queens, died on Saturday, December 08, 2012 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in New York City on July 7, 1919, she was the daughter of Pasquale and Filomena Micolupo DePergola. She was a parishioner of St. Columba Church, Hopewell Junction.
On December 7, 1941 in Brooklyn, Anna married Frank Sorrenti who predeceased her on May 1, 1997. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Sal and Rosemary Sorrenti of Elkton, FL and Pat and Koreen Sorrenti of Hopewell Junction; her grandchildren, Michael Sorrenti, Andrea Becker and Steven Sorrenti; her great-grandchildren, Danielle and Tyler; and her sisters, Patty Coppa, Louise Perrotta, Jennie Scarpelli and Christina DePergola.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 6-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11am at the funeral home followed by interment in the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
