Anna F. Stewart, 92, an area resident since 1961 and formerly of Rome, New York, died on Christmas Day at the Wingate at Dutchess.

Born in Diamond Point on August 31, 1917, she was the daughter of Horton and Eva Vaughn Ross.  Anna was employed as a Therapy Aide at the Hudson River State Hospital until her retirement in 1981 and had also worked at Vassar Brothers Hospital.  She was a dedicated member of the Church of the Nazarene where she played the organ and piano, and sang. She was the former long-time president of the local Nazarene World Mission Society.

On May 30, 1941 in Brant Lake, Anna married Rev. Harold Stewart who predeceased her on July 27, 1973.  She was also predeceased by her son, Jeffrey Ross Stewart in 1970.

Anna is survived by her children, Judy Gleasman and her husband, James of Utica, John Stewart and his wife, Wendy of Marlboro, Donna Brammer and her husband, Michael of Wappingers Falls and Bradley Stewart and his wife, Nancy of Eldora, Iowa; her grandchildren, James, Laurie, Scott, Bryan, Kristen, Aaron, Derek, Allison, Bradley, Kimberley, David, Hope, Jeffrey, Joel and Timothy; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Fishkill Church of the Nazarene, 953 Main Street, Fishkill with Rev. William Robinson officiating.  Interment will follow in Clove Cemetery.
