POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - Anne P. Fidanza, 95, died peacefully at home on January 11, 2026 with her daughters by her side. An area resident since 1959, she previously lived in the Bronx, NY.

Born in the Bronx on July 24, 1930, Anne was the daughter of the late Gerardo and Annunziata (Morena) Barile. On September 12, 1953 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in the Bronx, Anne married William Fidanza who predeceased her in 2019 after 66 years of marriage.

Anne was an executive secretary in New York City and was later employed by the Spackenkill School District writing the school newsletter, The Dialogue, for over 15 years until her retirement.

Anne was devoted to her immediate and extended family as well as her community of neighbors. Keen, witty, opinionated and true, Anne was a force, deeply committed to those she loved.

Anne is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline Fidanza and her husband Jon Levine of San Francisco, CA and Caroline Fidanza and her partner Doug MacDonald of Queens, NY.

A funeral service will be held at the Community Chapel Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery on Thursday, January 15th at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hudson Valley Hospice or the Arlington Fire Department at 213 Vassar Road in Red Oaks Mill.
