Anne H. Leone, 87, a resident of the Town of Beekman since 1964, died peacefully at home on Monday, October 12, 2009.

Born in Jersey City, NJ on November 10, 1921, she was the daughter of John and Julia Maurer Tomaiko. Anne was a parishioner of St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed bowling, ceramics, oil painting, gardening, flowers, swimming, shopping, playing Mahjong, humming birds and her husband playing the piano.

On July 28, 1946 at the Guardian Angel Church in Manhattan, Anne married Vincent P. Leone who survives at home. She is also survived by  her children, Nancy Leone Schmidt and her husband Curtis of Poughkeepsie, Thomas Leone of Ancram, Patricia Palmer of LaGrange and Susan Kayarian and her husband, James of Raleigh, NC; her grandsons, Jeffrey, Jonathan, Brian, Stephen and Adam; her great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn; her brothers, William and George Tomaiko; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Elizabeth, Albert and Andrew.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
