Ann was a member of the Poughquag Methodist Church of which she has been a great supporter. In addition, she also consistently supported the Beekman Rescue Squad. Ann has been an active and long-time member of the Tymor seniors. Several years ago, Ann was the honored recipient of Dutchess County Senior Citizen of the Year. Her generosity to others won her that very special award. For years, Ann has made hand crafts which she would sell...giving the profits to various charitable organizations such as The United Way, The Astor Home for Children, The Salvation Army, Holiday Helping Hands, The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley and others. In addition, she found great joy in making small quilts for residents of nursing homes who were confined to wheel chairs. One of her greatest joys was to give to others. For many years, she was an avid gardener, growing flowers that she always shared with others.
