Obituary

Antal Otto Priplata, 64, a resident of Dutchess County since 1985, died on Monday, June 18, 2012 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Budapest, Hungary on September 21, 1947, he was the son of Antal Otto and Maria Gal Priplata. Antal proudly served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, in addition to several other medals. He was employed as a field engineer for Bell Atlantic and CCSI.

On December 26, 1973 at St. Stephen's Church in Manhattan, Antal married Agnes Szalai who survives at home. He is also survived by his sons, Attila Priplata and his wife Cheryl of Arlington, MA and Zoltan Priplata of Boston, MA; and his grandchildren, Michael Attila and Ella Kathleen Priplata.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Military Honors will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc.
